It is time for the Bead Peeps reveal! I am a bit late this morning as somehow I caught the flu bug and have been in bed.
Anyway my partner was Kathleen Breeding from Nevada. She is a very, very busy person. She does commission work for Cosplay out there. Sounds exciting but hard work. Her Etsy Shop is
https://www.etsy.com/shop/99BOBOTW. Which stand for 99 Bottle of Beer on The Wall. Her facebook pages are
https://www.facebook.com/KraftzKathleen/ and
https://www.facebook.com/99BOBOTW/. A little background on her is she has been seed beading for 3 years, working at Michaels for 5 years. She teaches jewelry classes at Michaels. She has been doing craft shows since 2008 and in 2014 she started taking on cosplay accessory commissions. Like I said. A Very Very busy woman.
This is what I sent her:
This is what I received from her:
All kinds of beads and mixed media items. It was hard to really decide what to make, so many decisions!
I really had a tough time deciding as I was also doing taxes and was swamped. But I really loved the pendant with red, blue and yellow/green beads, And since she had sent me some seed beads in those colors I decided to do a spiral necklace with the pendant hanging.
In between every 5 inches I put in some clear/crystal triangular beads, just to break it up.
Next she had send some coppery super duos and coppery triangular duos so I did up a pair of earrings with them.
Next I wanted to use the pearls she had sent. They were a deep burgundy/brown and some creamy ones also. I loved how they went together color wise. So I went to
Beads Magic to look at the free patterns. I found one called Protaras and it used pearls and seed beads. So that is what I made up. I still have to put the clasp on it, but I can't decide what kind to use.
The seed beads I got to go with them make it look so rich!
That is all I got finished, but do have some more ideas:
These are the batches I put together and will get to them soon. For more goodies check out the Beed Peeps Facebook Page.
Til we meet again,
Keep on Beading.
