It's hard to believe that another week has passed since our last look at Friday's Hunt with Eden Hills. This week Teresa has tasked us with the letter C, weeks favorite, and unique perspective.
For me the letter C this weeks stands for CALIFORNIA. That is where we went on vacation in June to see my daughter and SIL. The pictures are random from California. The one of the Coffee Shop is where we ate the morning we left. As you can see, it is named CLAYTONS! And the bottom one is a sign we passed where you could get off to go to Caliexico, Mexico. It was interesting to be that close to another country.
For Unique Perspective, I used two pictures I took of my son, Nicholas, on top of a rock that we passed as we were on I-8, leaving California. The first one is without a zoom, the second one is with the zoom. The perspective is how close I got to him and didn't move!
Then my favorite for the week, is my dog, Penelope. She is getting on in years and she was sitting at my feet while I was working and I noticed how GRAY she was getting. She doesn't like having her picture taken though.
For more great shots and stories, hop over to Eden Hills and check out the links to the other participants. And until next week....
Keep on snapping!!!

I love the southwestern style of that coffee shop. Looks like you had a great time. We also have a black dog who is about 12 years old (we're not exactly sure because she came from the shelter and they didn't know exactly how old she was). She is also going grey, but we love her all the same!
ReplyDeleteThank you. And yes we had a great time. Was a long trip but we enjoyed it!
DeleteLots of good "C"s.
ReplyDeleteYour first photo reminds me of Highway 101 by San Diego and Santa Barbara. It's those palm trees and that lighting. That's a cool photo of your son. It looks like he's actually popping up out of the mound. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks. The first photo is in San Diego. It is the road that my daughter and SIL live on in Chula Vista. And yes my son did look like he was popping from the stone. It took him a bit to get up there...lol...
DeleteCalifornia was looking good, Vera. That was a long trip. If you drove I-10 west of Houston you were only a couple of miles from our house to the south at the Katy exits. The coffee shop looks Mexican-American. that must have been in New Mexico or El Paso. I lived in El Paso five years while I was in the Army.
ReplyDelete..
Oh yes, we drove I-10 through Houston and on west. I remember the Katy Exits. The coffee shop is actually in Coronado, California. It was on the corner of Orange and something just outside the base. And we stayed in El Paso going out for a night. It was interesting to see Mexico from where we were!
DeleteLove the views of your California trip. Fun take on the perspective prompt. Your pup is beautiful. It certainly is hard to watch or loved ones grow old. Thank you so much for joining Friday's Hunt. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
